Test shooting with D1 Models
Sometimes at the studio we collaborate with students on producing a shoot. A couple of weeks ago we were contacted to help out a student to produce a lookbook style fashion shoot.
Although the shoot was on a budget we were impressed by the student contacting and getting 2 agency models. They were Frazer Holloway and Freddie Vint from D1 Models

Before the actual lookbook shoot we had time to do some testing for the 2 models. Testing is usually done for new models (often called new faces) working for an agency.
We create a simple and effective setup for the photos. We used just 2 Elinchrom lights; one main light inside an octabox and one back light. We also used 2 black polyboards on each side of the model to give some contrast to the shadows.
The results are exceptional for such an easy setup. Below are a couple of photos taken on the day with this setup:
